Project details & specs:

The Ministry Of Public Health project involved supply & construction of Three Basements 3,000 sqm each, One Ground Floor, Three Upper Floor 1,000 sqm, each upper floor 1,000 sqm consisting 35 offices, Minister’s fourth floor and Roof.

The Ground Floor contains the ministry Entrance, public waiting areas, conference
rooms, server room, electrical room, cafeteria and offices.

The Basement One contains Generator fuel tanks rooms, 3 fan rooms, 2 auditoriums, transformers room and car parking.

The Basement Two Contains electrical room, UPS room, 4 fan rooms and car parking.
The Basement Three contains fire pump room, 4 fan rooms and car parking.
The Fourth floor contains the minister’s office, theater, conference room and  consultant offices.
The Upper Roof Contains roof package units, 15 VRF outdoor units, exhaust air fans and water tanks.

Mechanical Work

The Air-conditioning and heating for this project are based on VRF system.
Cooling and heating Capacity of 1200 KW is provided from a park fifteen VRV systems, thirteen split units and two package units. Ventilation Equipment Consists of seventeen exhaust & fresh air fan.

The Air Conditioning System is monitored, controlled and managed by the a BMS (Building Management System). This manages and controls the temperature & lighting operation in the various rooms and related operation of the HVAC equipment.

The project is equipped with fire detection and protection systems. The fire protection is provided by a wet system, dry system, FM 200 & CO2 and Dry Chemical systems.

The Plumbing & Drainage installations for this project include the installation of all plumbing fixtures inside toilets & kitchens. The Water Supply system is provided by Underground Concrete Tanks for

Raw Water, Water polypropylene Tanks with 16,000 L volume located at Roof Level. The Water distribution is assured by Two booster pumps equipped with variable frequency drives located at roof. The hot water is generated in eighteen electric water heaters located in
each toilet.

ELECTRICAL

A. Power Plant:

  1. Primary Power Plant : Consists of 1000 KVA transformer + 630 KVA transformer
  2. Secondary Power Plant: two 640 KVA Generators + one 300 KVA Generator +
    33KVA generator
  3. Uninterruptable Power Supply System that consist on the following:
  • Solid state rectifiers/chargers
  • Static inverters
  • Static transfer switches
  • Maintenance by-pass switches
  • Batteries
  • Accessories
  • Furnishing load banks test instruments during field testing
  • Interface contacts with BMS

B. Lighting System:

  1. The lighting system consists on indoor and outdoor lighting
  2. Emergency lighting units
  3. Exit signs

C. Fire Alarm And Evacuation Systems:

  1. Fire alarm system and installation are in accordance with NFPA standard and
    the latest requirements lay by Local Civil Defense authorities
  2. All equipment used in the system shall, as far as practicable, be designed and
    provided by single manufacturer (notifier by HONEYWELL)

D. Data system and IP telephony:

  1. Data system and IP telephony are installed as per latest technology and using
    CISCO servers , phones and licenses
  2. Systems are fully redundant

E. Central Antenna TV system:

  1. A head –end TV system is installed by TRIAX – Denmark
  2. TV modulators, receivers and Dishes

F. CCTV system:

A fully operational CCTV system based on IP CCTV cameras with high megapixels and resolution is installed and connected to main servers for local access or remote access

BMS

G. Building management System:

  1. A building management system ( TREND by HONEYWELL) is installed to monitor all main electric panels and generators
  2. To monitor and control all HVAC equipment’s
  3. Integration with Fire alarm system

H. Panel Boards , raceways and cables:

  1. Panel boards supplied and installed based on high reliability, operational safety
    standards and under manufacturer tests
  2. All panel boards and MCC’s are fully equipped to ready to communicate with
    BMS via Mod-bus and / or dry contacts
